Walking along the country roads in Summerland at Christmas time, it was bittersweet to come upon the orchards with the remnants of frozen fruit clinging lifeless to their branches.

On a week-long painting trip to the Jasper area in Alberta, there was much to see and paint for ten artists discovering new territory.   The sight of this lone horse drinking from a pristine lake shows off the majestic beauty and scope of the landscape.

On a week-long horse packing trip into the Rocky Mountains with "the dirty dozen" as we called ourselves - 12 adventurous artists experienced life at its best.

Rock Glacier, Yukon Territories

One of six trips I made to the Yukon Territories, this trip did not disappoint our senses.   We stayed at the Arctic Institute of North America and traveled up to 200 km per day seeking out new subjects to paint.  The grizzlies were not far behind!
